1 position available as a Registered Nurse in our Eye ward Unit.

The Registered Nurse – Will be responsible for direct and /or indirect nursing care of a patient or group of patients. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing; planning; executing and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs. The Registered Nurse is a role model in the delivery of evidence based care. The Registered Nurse will actively participate in maintaining quality service and standards.

The ward administrator will be responsible for the co-ordination of all secretarial and administration work in the department. The successful candidate will be responsible for: receiving all new patients, visitors and Multi-disciplinary team members in the ward.

The incumbent is further responsible for assisting in maintaining stock levels in the ward and should work closely with the Unit manager.

The successful candidate will further be required to assist the ward staff and the Unit Manager with assigned duties.


Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification (Essential).

2-3 years’ experience in hospital administration position (Essential).

Business Administration and / or Secretarial Qualification (Preferred).

Be able to deal with elderly patients and their needs.


Computer literate (Essential)

WebX experience will be an advantage.
